SARAH + SHANE'S SWEET DIY FARM WEDDING | FAMILY FARM WEDDING | STRUM, WI WEDDING

There's really nothing like a farm wedding, all the DIY touches, the easy going day, the space to roam aimlessly and the freedom to do whatever you wantit's seriously one of my very favorite kind of weddings.

Sarah and Shane really pulled out all the stops to make this their own. The amazing homemade wooden signs, the white tent with rustic details, the red barn backdrop. Simply perfect day and the weather was amazing! Sarah's family is so welcoming and wonderful too. Erin and I were putting the dress up and a branch was in our way and she jokingly said "don't ask for help they are so nice they would come with a chainsaw and cut down the tree for you" and that is exactly true, they were beyond supportive, helpful and most of all happy.

The day was filled with sunshine, smiles, amazing friends and family and a gorgeous bride and groom. Enjoy the preview. storyboarded-29 storyboarded-4 storyboarded-44 storyboarded-45 storyboarded-2 storyboarded-5 storyboarded-30 storyboarded-10 storyboarded-12 storyboarded-11 storyboarded-14 storyboarded-15 storyboarded-13 storyboarded-24 storyboarded-17 storyboarded-20 storyboarded-22 storyboarded-21 storyboarded-19 storyboarded-23 storyboarded-26 storyboarded-25 storyboarded-27 storyboarded-41 storyboarded-31 storyboarded-42 storyboarded-37 storyboarded-38 storyboarded-35 storyboarded-36 storyboarded-32 storyboarded-39

FRIDAY FRAMES| BRIDES SPEAK | WISCONSIN BARN PHOTOGRAPHER

My Friday Frames inspiration this week came right from the mouths of a bride on her wedding day, and a bride to be at her engagement session. I thought what they said was a light bulb moment and really wanted to share with all of you (especially brides to be!)

"yeah, it's funny when your planning your wedding it seems like you really need all those shots {on a pre-planned shot list from the internet} but come the day of all that really matters is the candid, real moments that are happening all around us" ~Sarah Knudtson married 6/21/15

"I made this skirt because I figured this is our one chance to show our personalities, I wanted something really fun that stood out, I think it's really a give and take with couples and photographers, you get out what you put into it. Good photos don't just happen. I feel a lot of good energy here" ~Maggie to be wed 8/30/14
