One Frame Friday | Concrete

Happy Friday! It's actually looking like March today, 30 degrees, melting ugly brown snow, I'm not a big fan of this transition period between winter and Spring but at least at the end of it comes something beautiful.

So right now, I am building a new website/blog with a real designer (Yay! Big girl blog!) and I have to explain what I want, my style, my vision. This is tough stuff, I am kind of a lover of all designs and styles.

I've never been a really concrete person. For instance, I have my beliefs in politics but I'm not super political, I believe in being healthy but I'm not super crunchy. I like rustic but not country, I believe in technology but sometimes wonder what it would be like to be Amish. I believe in hard work and having good jobs but sometimes want to move to an island and live in a hut and braid hair for a living, I love a big city and fast-pace lifestyle but happily choose to live in the country with open fields and endless room to wonder, I love to travel and explore new places and cultures but there's no place like home. See? I don't really limit myself to concrete ideas and ways of life. I don't have a clear path, I'm kind of all over the road.

What does this have to do with designing a blog? pretty much everything!  There's dark and moody blogs which I think are hip and cool and then there is light and airy pastel blogs which I think are pretty and what bride doesn't like pretty? , but then there is the plain clean minimalist blog which I also love because I crave more simplicity in my life.

I already feel like I am not going to be able to do this but I know it will come together,  just like this style shoot did, and it was beautiful.

  1. I'm preparing myself to upgrade my website and have axactly the same problem although I wouldn't put it so perfectly into words.
